Show Choir is such a blessing. It has
taught me more self-discipline and responsibility. Every day it is a new experience in Show Choir. The unique
people involved in our group are a joy. Many wonderful opportunities and exciting experiences in my life have come from
being in Show Choir. It prepared me for drama evangelism on my mission trip last summer, and it has helped me become
more comfortable with speaking in front of groups of people. As you can see, Show Choir has been a big part of my life.
Mrs. Rita has influenced me musically as well as spiritually. I enjoy all aspects of music. I've been involved
with Show Choir since 7th grade. I have seen how much we have grown and how much we have accomplished. I know
that God has had his hand on this group, which is the main reason why I am proud to be in the Westbrook Show Choir.
~Lauren Baum
My involvement in music, on stage, began when
I started attending Westbrook Christian School in the 4th grade. By the time I was in the 9th grade, Rita Allen created
Westbrook's Show Choir. This was an exciting time for me and became a turning point in my life. I have been taking
private voice lessons from Mrs. Rita to supplement all the training I have received over the past four years in Show Choir.
My love for music has grown under Mrs. Rita's instruction, as well as my desire to use my voice for the Lord. Show Choir
has allowed me many opportunities to sing for His glory. I thank the Lord for the blessings I have received through
Show choir, and I thank Mrs. Rita for the wonderful Christian example she has been to me through the years. My desire is to
serve the Lord each day with a new song in my heart. I plan to study Psychology at Asbury College in Kentucky.
~Carrie Elrod
My name is Jared Gott. I am 15 years old
and in the tenth grade. This is my first year in "Etowah Live!" and it's been great! Getting ready for "Phantom
of the Opera" has been a lot of fun. I'd like to thank my family for all the help and encouragement they've given me
throughout this semester. I'd also like to thank Mrs. Allen and the other members of "Etowah Live!" for allowing me
to be a part of this and for working so hard. I'm really looking forward to the next few years and I hope everyone enjoys
the show!
Show Choir has been an awesome experience and
opportunity for me to express all the joy I have for music within my heart. I has givenme the opportunity to use the
knowledge of music I have as well as my desire to use the gift God has given me. Being in Show Choir, I feel that
I have accomplished some pretty great things that have strengthened me in my level of music maturity. Going to New York
to sing in Carnegie Hall, having learned to sing five foreign language songs, I consider to be an experienc of a lifetime.
In doing so it has given me a greater aspiration to continue with music always throughout my life. Music is a vital
part of my life. Life without singing or playing or hearing music would be lack of nourishment and I would just die.
I'm a unique individual who loves the feeling and every emotion in the music. That's what I embrace in music.
When I sing something I like to make it my own - make it "my music" by singing it in a way that puts perspective in it
of what it means to me. I love Show Choir and have a blast being in it! I want to continue to be in it throughout
the rest of high school and grow stronger in the part I play in it. I want to grow in dedication and diligence.
~Margaret Martin
I love being in Show Choir because I love to
sing and express myself. Singing also gives me a joy knowing that I am putting a smile on someone else's face.
God has given me a voice and I am going to use it to it's fullest extent. Each year that I have been in Show Choir it
gets better and better. If it is any better than last year, look out London, we're in for a thrill! ~John Weber
Mrs. Rita, I cannot thank you enough for what
you have done for our school and for what you have done to touch people’s life.
You are an amazing person and a great teacher. I cannot wait till next
year and make many more memoires with you and our SHS Choir. I have had the best
time. I want to thank you for trying your hardest to do the Sound of Music. That really touched my heart! You have
touched my life in every way and I want to say…thank you! Love always,
Melesa Fail
Mrs. Allen will definitely be my favorite teacher
through my high school years. She is such a great person and always knows the
right things to say. Choir is the best!

This year has been a lot of fun for me. For one thing, it is my SENIOR YEAR!! Choir
is so much fun! I could not imagine my last two years without this class. Choir has been more than just a class to me.
It has been the most awesome experience to me. I have grown so much in
this class. Mrs. Allen, I told you this not too long ago, but I want to add it on here because I never want you to forget
it. There is a book I read called Silver Boxes: The Gift of Encouragement. It is a book relating to Ephesians 4:29, “Let no corrupt communication proceed
out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” In the book a little girl says the verse is stating that our words should be gifts
to teach other. When I read that, you were the first person I thought of. Everything you say is like a gift that you can’t wait to open. I love you so much. You are such an awesome person to be around. You rarely have anything negative to say, and even when you do, it is followed by
something positive to make it better. I love that about you. Every day I come into class wondering what you will have to tell us that is encouraging or just an awesome
story that you have to tell. I can’t wait until next semester; I know it
will be just as much fun, if not more, as this semester. Love in Christ, Heather
Butler
I had a wonderful year and I know that choir
was the biggest influence. Ms. Allen, you have no idea how much your friendship
means to me. You have helped me more than you will ever know. I just want to say thanks for opening your heart to me. You
are my hero, my idol, everything that means much in my life has come from you. I
love you with all my heart, Savannah
Mrs. Allen, I don’t believe you will ever
know what choir has meant to me. I have met and befriended people I didn’t
ever think I would. There are not many teachers that know the real me except
for you. This is my second year in Choir and I have enjoyed every moment of it. Always remember…Mrs. Allen, I love you!
From your #1 Fan, Dustin Phillips
I can’t believe I’m a senior this
year! This semester has been so much different than any other! I have loved it! Mrs. Allen, we all love you sooooooo much
and please never forget that! Emily Sheffield.
The Southside Choir has been a great inspiration
for me! It has given me confidence not only in myself but toward others also. I feel that Mrs. Allen has been sent down from heaven above to help everyone who would
let her. She has helped me more than anyone could ever imagine. Tuesday Marshall
Mrs. Allen, you have changed my life more than
you will ever know. I feel so relieved that you are my Choir Teacher. Choir is the only place to release my feeling in God’s words and songs. I look forward to being in your Choir class for the next two years.
Your positive attitude in life has helped me through the tough times in my life.
You are the sweetest and most positive person I know. You have changed
my life and I thank you for entering my life through Choir. Love you lots! Stacey Menouski?
I’ll never forget these last two years. They have been the two best years of high school for me. To be honest, when I first got in choir, I didn’t think I would like it. It took me a while to get used to it, and now I don’t want to leave.
Brandon Ford

One of my favorite memories of choir, is just
the time we have had during class! Our class is the lifesaver of my day! Mrs. Allen, I will miss you sooo much. You
have taught me so much this semester. I am glad I had this chance to be in your
class! I know it was God’s plan for me to meet you! I will never forget to sing with all of my heart!!! I love
you all, Jame’ Dunnington
Mrs. Allen, I have really enjoyed being in choir
with you this semester. You have taught me so much. I look forward to the coming years in your class. In your

been wonderful. Mrs. Allen has been a great Choir teacher and a wonderful friend
to everyone. She has a wonderful heart and everyone just loves her. Brianna Wimpee
Ms. Allen, This semester of choir has been truly
remarkable. The songs that we sang and the message that we preached was full
of hope and love for everyone. I can never express in words my gratitude towards
you and never thank you enough for your patience, your wisdom and your advice. You
are the back-bone of our choir and you make all this possible. I will miss you
next year. Heather Bruce
Mrs. Rita, thank you so much for coming to Southside.
You have meant so much to me these past two years. I can’t even begin to
describe the impact you have made. We have had a tremendous year and touched
many lives. I really appreciate all you have done for me! I hope you will always remember me because I don’t think I could forget you! Love Always, Heather Sewell
Mrs. Allen, You are the greatest person I have
ever met. You have been there for me and I want to thank you!! JSU was the greatest highlight of my Senior Year. I want to
thank you for allowing me to shine and thank you for giving me the chance to show the real me.
Kim
This semester has been the best. I’ve never had an experience like Mrs. Allen’s class.
I was scared to sing, and embarrassed to sing in front of the school, but Mrs. Rita helped me overcome my fear and
reach my goal. So I recommend you take choir.
It will give you an experience you would never expect. Mrs. Allen is a
wonderful teacher and a good friend. Stacy Lee Nevinski
Mrs. Rita, You’re a fun and exciting teacher. I had a wonderful time in choir this semester.
The country show was a lot of fun! I also had fun dancing to these songs. Love, Amber Greer
